Christian Practices

Bridging the Gap Between Knowing and Living

Christian Practices exists to help believers move beyond simply learning about God into daily rhythms that form a life with God.

Through Scripture, prayer, reflection, silence, presence, and faithful living, we help people cultivate a steady relationship with God in the ordinary places of everyday life.

The Problem

Many of Us Know More Than Ever, But Still Feel Spiritually Unformed

We live in a time when sermons, podcasts, books, courses, Bible studies, and digital resources are more available than ever before. And yet many believers still sense that something is missing.

The issue is not always a lack of information. Often, what we need are rhythms that help us slow down, pay attention, and live in God’s presence.

Christian Practices was created to help bridge that gap between biblical knowledge and spiritual formation.

The Invitation

Simple Rhythms for a Life Formed in Christ

Christian practices are not spiritual performance. They are not religious tasks to master or boxes to check. They are simple, historic rhythms that create space to be with God.

Through practices such as the Daily Office, Lectio Divina, the Living Word, and FLOW, believers learn to return to God again and again.

Over time, these rhythms help shape our attention, desires, decisions, relationships, leadership, and daily life.

Practices That Help Us Live What We Believe

Christian Practices helps believers cultivate historic rhythms of Scripture, prayer, attentiveness, and faithful living. These practices are not about spiritual performance but about creating space to be with God and allowing Him to shape our lives over time.

Part of a Larger Formation Ecosystem

Learning, Formation, Discovery, and Discernment

Christian Practices is a ministry of Tower of Praise, Inc., and part of a broader ecosystem designed to help believers grow in Scripture, spiritual formation, personal discovery, and faithful Kingdom living.

Together, these connected ministries provide a pathway that moves from learning and practice to discernment and calling, helping believers understand not only what they believe, but how God is shaping their lives and inviting them to participate in His Kingdom.

Why This Matters

From Doing More to Being With God

There was a season in my life when everything seemed to be in place. I was reading Scripture, praying, leading, and serving. The work was meaningful, and the pace of ministry was full. But beneath all of that, there was a quiet awareness I could not ignore. Something was missing.

It was not that I needed to do more. In many ways, I was already doing a lot. What I began to realize was that there is a difference between doing things for God and being with God.

That search led me to the Christian Practices. At first, what drew me in was structure. Practices like the Daily Office offered a rhythm to my day that helped me return to Scripture and prayer in a more consistent way. But over time, I began to understand something even more important. It is not the structure that changes us. It is the rhythm.

The practices are not about checking boxes or achieving spiritual performance. They are about creating space in our lives to be with God.

Pastor Steve Lawes

This journey is shared by Pastor Steve Lawes, lead pastor of Keys Vineyard Church, founder of the Online Bible Institute Network, and leader of the Christian Practices Initiative through Tower of Praise, Inc.

His heart is to help people grow in a steady and authentic relationship with God through simple, accessible rhythms of Scripture, prayer, and spiritual formation.

Begin with a Simple Rhythm

Spiritual formation does not begin with doing everything at once. It begins with a faithful step. Choose one practice, enter the rhythm, and allow God to shape your life over time.
